Simple Desk-Break Exercise for a Healthier Spine
Most of us spend far more time than we’d like sitting at desks, laptops, or home-office setups. Even with the best ergonomic chair in the world, our bodies aren’t designed to stay still, and over the course of the day, we naturally slump forward. This puts extra pressure on the spine, stiffens the joints in the mid-back, and leaves important postural muscles under-used.
This month’s Top Tip is all about undoing that tension and helping your back mobility with one simple movement you can do at your desk, at home, or as part of your morning or evening routine.
The Standing Thoracic Rotation Exercise
This exercise helps to:
- Wake up the muscles around your thoracic spine
- Restore movement through stiff mid-back joints
- Reduce that “desk slump” posture
Give your hips and core a light activation boost
