PELVIC HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES
PELVIC PAIN
Treatment of any issues caused by problems of the pelvis or bladder.
One in three women will suffer from a pelvic floor related issue at some stage in their lives.
PREGNANCY
Pregnancy is a wonderful time in a woman’s life and your body will undergo a huge amount of change.
This change can create pregnancy related aches and pains as well as issues with bladder, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction.Â
MUMMY MOT
Pregnancy and childbirth can affect a woman’s body dramatically. Posture is altered, muscles weaken and tissue can be traumatised. Juggling new baby and trying to get your body back is challenging and without guidance can also exacerbate these weaknesses.
The Mummy MOT is an in-depth postnatal assessment that assesses posture, scar sites, the strength, activation and function of all muscles including the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles following childbirth. It is suitable any time from 6 weeks postnatal.
POST NATAL
After having a baby most women may experience a weakness in either the tummy or pelvic floor area which can create instability and affect core strength. The result may be altered transfer load, back pain, pelvic pain, and bladder and bowel issues.
